LifeScan is a world leader in the fast growing blood glucose monitoring market, serving diabetes patients across the world.

You will be responsible for providing development and delivery of embedded software to support the sustainment and enhancement of low cost, high reliability blood glucose monitoring devices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Augmenting / complementing and cross checking the Software Engineering work that is done by our development partners, with actual testing.
  • Ensuring that the Software is ready to meet formal testing against the requirements, and that LifeScan receive a robust Software design from our development partner.
  • Developing test protocols based on understanding of Software Architecture, coding methodology, interaction / interfaces of Hardware & Software and past experience with similar code /SWE.
  • Being reviewer and signatory for Test Plans, Test Protocols and Reports, SDVPs, Critical test protocols (including CTQ), SW Architecture and related Design Documents and reviewers of requirement documents (e.g.: SRSs & UIRS, SDD).
  • Participating in code reviews and design reviews.
  • Coordinating the efforts of the onsite team with any similar team that may be formed at our suppliers.

The Candidate:

We are looking for someone qualified in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer science with an emphasis on embedded software development. You will have significant experience of embedded software development, process and testing in a regulated environment. Ideally, your experience will have been gained within Medical Devices, where you will have demonstrated the ability to work with outside partners (software houses) and gained knowledge of QSSDV standards.
