You will be responsible for providing the design and development of new low cost, highly reliable blood glucose meter products.


Responsibilities

  • Provide the leadership to translate customer unmet needs into well defined CTQs and System Design Requirements.
  • Responsible for the design and development of products according to the Product Development & Design Control processes that support the overall cross-functional New Product Development.
  • Responsible for the identification and resolution of technical problems especially in the areas of electronics, hardware, mechanical and signal processing designs.
  • Ensure products are developed compliant with worldwide and company regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that product development process is customer focused and products are designed with a focus on quality and manufacturability
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, Quality and Regulatory in the identification, development and commercialization of new products and the support of existing products


The Candidate:

We are looking for someone qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering with experience within the Medical Devices industry, and knowledge of Design Excellence. In addition, you should be competent in the following areas:

  • Electronic and electrical circuit design expertise
  • Electronic board layout expertise
  • Design and development of low cost, high reliability medical devices
  • Design and debug of analog and digital electronic circuits
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with outside suppliers
  • With experience in the use of simulation tools - analog and digital and signal processing, e.g. digital filters, auto-correlation, analog-to-digital converters
